Camp Blue Haven is nestled in the Sangre de Cristo mountains 17 miles west of Las Vegas, New Mexico, on the Mineral Hill Road, about one mile past the end of state maintenance on highway 283. Camp buildings are situated on the banks of the Tecolote at an elevation of 7200 feet.
To reach camp, use the access road on the east side of I-25 between Las Vegas and Romeroville. The first overpass (or the second overpass north of Romeroville) is marked by signs to Mineral Hill, San Geronimo and Camp Blue Haven. Travel west on route 283 to the end of the blacktop (12 miles) and then follow the signs for the remaining three miles to camp.
